Creating a New Project

Create Project

To create a new Project on CGarchitect, go to the Discover menu and then click the blue Create Project button.

This will open the Create Project dialog box where you can give your project a name and define the type of project you wish to create.  Arch Viz projects will be added to the projects section of your personal profile page.  They will also appear in the public Discover section of the site.  Other Artistic works are meant to showcase all of your other artistic pursuits.  These projects will only appear in the Projects section of your own personal profile.  This section is designed to show off your work to your peers in the industry and also help inform potential employers of your artistic eye.

Edit Project

After you press the blue Create button, you will come into the the Visual Storyteller interface.  To design your project, simply drag content blocks from the left onto the build area on the right.  You can then add text to your text blocks and drag image(s) onto your image blocks as required. In order to save a project you must have at least one video or one image block.

Edit Image Metadata

Once an image is added to an image block it is immediately sent to our AI powered computer vision system to be tagged with metadata.  You can view these tags and add your own image metadata by clicking the pencil icon located to the top left of every image.  Please note, it can sometime take a few seconds for the icon to appear and will appear once the AI tagging is complete.

Edit Image Dialog Box

When you click the pencil icon on any image you can enter the name of the image, the image credit, a text description, which software was used to create the image and add tags to the image.  When you first go in, you will see all of the tags already added by our AI engine.  You can add additional tags or remove tags that might not be correct.

Project Details

Once you have finished designing your project you can press Save and this will keep a draft of your project in your profile for later editing. If you would like to proceed to the Project Details phase to finalize your project, click the Continue button or the Project Details breadcrumb.

On the Project Details page you can enter in a Project Description, a Project Thumbnail and add any image metadata you did not add in the previous step.  At this step you can also specify under whom the project should be published.  If you created a Company Page, you will see both your Name and your Companies.  You can chose to publish under your Personal Name, your Company Name or both.  This information is what will show up on the final published Project.

To Preview your project at this point, press save and then the Preview link just under the Publish button.

When you are ready to publish your project simply press the blue Publish button and your Project will be live.  At any time a Published Project can be Unpublished by clicking the Unpublish button or removed from CGarchitect by clicking the Delete button.
